Huck is saying that no matter what he tries to do either with helping Jim escape, helping the con men, or stealing from an abandon house his conscious always makes him decide what to do. For example when Huck has to decide to either save Huck from being a slave again or just let him be a slave and not get into any trouble, his conscious made him go and save Jim.
Three examples of Huck’s conscience persuading his decisions were:
1. When he and Jim were “borrowing” food from that one farm his conscience told him that Huck would never back down and to keep on going.
2. When the king stole Jim and sold him for $40 his conscience told him to go save him because he was his friend.
3. When he finds out about the town catching on to the king and duke’s con his conscience tells him to go tell them because they were nice to him.
There is this one time I remember that I could of went out to a party and have fun with friends but I thought about it and I had no way home or no were to stay so I just called up some of my other friends and went and chilled with them. The next day I found out that the cops showed up and the party got broken up so I was glad I made the right decision.

The Basement.
THE BASEMENT.
When i am frustrated or mad i walk down the long white stairs and when i finally reach the bottom of the stairs i step on to the freezing cold blue tiles that feel like I'm walking on the white snow outside. I hurry up and jump off the tile on to the carpet and go over to the 55" big screen TV and turn the cable and the TV on. if there is nothing on TV then i will turn on the PlayStation 2 and put in NCAA 09 and continue on with my season I started.
When i am watching TV or playing a video game i keep the lights off to make temper go down and relax, and most of the time when I'm watching TV i fall asleep.
Most of the time when i am down there my little brother that is 11 will come down stairs and want to play or watch TV with me. While I'm laying down on the futon my brother is sitting in the chair and we mostly watch ESPN or a movie.
I enjoy my basement a lot i think it is a god place to chill and relax with either myself, friends, or my whole family. There is only three more things i would want down in my basement. those things are, a refrigerator, a bathroom, and the computer. If those three things were down in the basement i would probably never come upstairs unless i needed something.
I have always liked the basement. when i was little me and my brother would go down there and pay football, basketball, hockey with mini sticks, and any other sport we felt like playing.
That is my basement that i enjoy so much.

Huck Finn Response
Intro paragraph: In Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck, the protagonist, Huck, is greatly influenced by four people: Widow Douglas, Tom Sawyer, Pap, and Jim.
Body paragraph 1: WIDOW DOUGLAS: Widow Douglas affects Huck by giving him a sense of religion, education and a sense of wrong and right. Huck still thinks back to when he has to make a decision he goes over what is the right thing and how will it affect him and Jim. For example on page 2 “after supper she got out the bible and would teach Huck about Moses and Bulrushers.”
Body Paragraph 2: TOM SAWYER: Tom Sawyer affects Huck by giving him a sense of not quitting or giving up on adventurous and dangerous events. When he is with Jim, and Huck finds the snake on page 39 and decided to put it in Jim’s bed he thought to himself and said would Tom would do this.
Body Paragraph 3: PAP: Pap affects Huck by him by didn’t go to school, church, and is an alcoholic. Pap also told Huck said that it is alright to steal if you’re stealing for other people. Huck thought back to when he was little and Pap told him on page 49 “wasn’t harm to barrow things if you was meaning to pay them back, sometime.”
Body Paragraph 4: JIM: Jim affects Huck by giving him a sense of responsibility and made Huck act older. In chapter 11 Huck dresses up like a girl and goes into town and sees what the news about his death is and finds out that some guys are going to hunt down Jim and goes back and tells Jim.
Conclusion Paragraph: Without these key influences in his life, Huck would be a very different person.
